Do you 420?
I don't quite know what that means,
But stoners like it.
Me? I don't use pot.
Someone called me "straight edge" once.
Not so "edgy" though...
I've never used pot. It doesn't appeal to me, my psychiatrist threatened to drop me if I try it, and I don't usually like the smell. I have been high though. One of my apartment building neighbors went overboard once or twice, and somehow it all came in through my window.
I have a number of friends who benefit from it though, either because it helps them with pain or sleep or anxiety, or just because they enjoy it. I could go into a rant about Prohibition and the War on Drugs and how the bans make it more dangerous and how it has properties that kill cancer etc., but if you're looking here you've probably heard it all before.
But I don't use pot, so why did I make this art? 1. Money. I'm not going to lie, I'm trying to cash in. 2. You may have noticed my tagline: "Eccentric Offerings of Whimsy and Wonder". I had an idea. It amused me. I wanted to try a different style of art than my usual stuff. So I just ran with it! And I think it came out well, and other people tell me so too.
I've been half-tempted to give a turkey the same treatment, but I think that'd be overkill. But I like turkeys. Really I like them more than peacocks. We have wild turkeys around Massachusetts, once a rare sight but now pretty common thanks to conservation efforts. I saw a video of a bunch of turkeys circling a dead cat, seemingly following each other and no longer aware of the cat's presence. That amused me.
I don't know if peafowl do that though. I do know that, as pretty as they are, they are still sometimes eaten. I hear they're rather unpleasant creatures, suitable for letting them wander your garden but not really as pets. I don't know if that's true.
